Cloud Security is responsible for ensuring customers trust Microsoft’s cloud platform. We are part of Management Plane team responsible for designing & standardizing systems across the entire SDLC stack for Cloud Security teams to excel and do their best work and deliver products to the customers with high quality and velocity. Provide hands-on technical leadership: architecture, design, code reviews, development, quality assurance, observability, and live site. Mentor engineers in the team by providing hands-on assistance, best practices, and promoting an inclusive learning environment. Build on our Microsoft principles (create clarity, generate energy, deliver success) and values (respect, integrity, accountability) to effectively collaborate and make things happen. Influence and execute on a technical strategy for delivering azure services whose core functionality is essentially running truly a cloud. Collaborate effectively across different time zones. Recruit and build a strong engineering team. Develop the full stack, from intuitive and responsive user and developer experiences, to highly scalable, secure and reliable webservices and back-end infrastructure. these are required qualifications. candidates will be dispositioned out if they do not have these qualifications. these must be quantifiable. required qualifications: . 7+ years of experience as a software engineer . experience shipping distributed systems, services, and highly available infrastructure. . experience with one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: java, c/c++, c# preferred qualifications: . an understanding of basic applied cryptography concepts including encryption/decryption, symmetric and asymmetric keys, certificates, signing/verifying . experience with building services and web platforms that are highly reliable, run at high scale, and recover automatically from failure . practical experience with containers, paas/saas software engineering, distributed systems engineering #msftsecurity #azuresecopen ability to meet microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. these requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: microsoft cloud background check: this position will be required to pass the microsoft cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
